Star Splattered Banner: American Flag Making with Michael Thorpe

Participants explored new ways of imagining the American flag, working with textile to create an original design.

Through making and discussion, participants considered the flag’s role as a symbol of American patriotism and reflected on how the idea of a united nation feels and functions today.
